3 Easy Ways To Elevate Your Wardrobe

At Easy Mondays we strive to make your life easier, with clothes that both look good and feel good when you’re wearing them.  Our customers ask us all the time, “How can I dress better”? Some guys want to look more professional or present better at work, some want to be comfortable yet stylish while traveling and others want to be more attractive to their spouse or significant other (or some combination of all of the above).  The thing about personal style is it’s just that - personal - and while your motivations for putting your best foot forward may differ, there are a few hard and fast rules that never hurt.

And so, here is a list of 3 easy ways guys can elevate their wardrobe…

Your clothes should fit you, not the other way around. The most common mis-step here is wearing clothes that are overly baggy for your frame.  Perhaps you’re clinging to that favourite, weathered t-shirt from University (that hasn’t fit since frosh week).  Or you throw on an oversized hoodie or sweats because it’s “easier” and you feel comfortable.  When guys come into the showroom to try our stuff, they are constantly surprised by the confidence boost and overall “glow-up” they receive from wearing a well-fitting garment.  If you’ve ever had the pleasure of having a suit made to measure, you know what a game-changer it can be vs. squeezing into an off the rack suit or rental tux.  The same holds true with basic, staple pieces such as t-shirts and polos.  Our clothing is designed for a fit that’s sleek but not tight, comfortable but not sloppy.  

Quality over quantity is another easy operating principle that applies to life and clothing. From both a financial and increasingly, a sustainability standpoint, it just makes sense.  While you may be tempted to buy cheaper items because they don’t cost much up front, they may not hold up to multiple wearings, and they tend to lose their shape and colour after a single wash - so you end up paying as much if not more in the long run (not to mention the damage it does to the planet, with more textiles ending up in landfills).  All of our pieces are handmade in Portugal from high quality fabrics that will stand the test of time. We use lycra in our t-shirts to ensure the shirts hold their shape over time. Our collars are cross stitched so they won’t sag or ripple over time.  We’ve been very thoughtful about this stuff so you don’t have to be.  Just wear it and feel good, while knowing you’re doing something decent for the planet.

Being a “jack of all trades & master of none” has sometimes been frowned upon but in the case of your wardrobe, you want pieces that can be worn as many ways and in as many places as possible.  Take the humble t-shirt, for example.
